Michael and Kristina run away, Jason and Sam split up in Mexico, Jerry shoots Jason, Sam nurses Jason back to health, Return to PC, The Carnival, Michael asks Sam to find out who got him shot.

At the police station, Jason coaches Michael on what to do as Diane argues with Mac for Michael's release. Unfortunately, even wonder-woman Diane can't talk her way out of this one. Jason is forced to watch Michael get carted off to a cell. In the meantime, Sam informs Alexis that she has destroyed the surveillance videos from that night. Alexis kicks herself for having asked Sam to do that because now things have changed: she could actually be a suspect in the accident thanks to the Mayor's crazy wife. That footage could have cleared her. When they receive word that Michael has confessed, Kristina jumps out at her mother. Are you going to let Michael take the blame for something you probably did?

Kristina admits to Sam that she was, in fact, driving the night of Claudia's accident. But when Sam witnessed how upset Kristina was, it was because she'd had a fight with Kiefer, not because she caused the crash. She stomps out onto the veranda, and Sam follows her. She apologizes for suspecting Kristina of being responsible for the accident. She tells Sam that Kiefer was with another girl, but he said it wasn't a big deal, so they're fine. Sam digs a little bit and says that boy troubles can make you act out of character (i.e. lying). Sam recalls the hard time she had when she was breaking up with Jason. She tells Kristina that she experienced a lot of chaotic feelings and let herself get into a situation when she didn't do the right thing. Kristina says that their mother is the person who should be getting this talk, because she has been covering her affair with the mayor. In fact, she thinks that their mom is responsible for Claudia's accident. She tells Sam to leave her alone and walks away. When Sam finds her, Kristina complains that she always has to be perfect, but their mother does whatever she wants. Sam tells her that she should be honest with herself, about herself. Alexis arrives and tells Kristina that Michael has been released, but could likely be tried as an adult for the accident. Kristina screams that Alexis should try to help Michael, then stomps off. Sam suggests to Alexis that Michael may not be responsible and a full investigation should be launched. Meanwhile, Kristina sneaks out the back. Alexis thinks it was a huge mistake for Sonny to give Michael a car. Sam suggests that Kristina may have been responsible for the accident. She tells Alexis that Kristina snuck out that night and was driving while very upset.

At the police station, Jason calls on Robin for help. She is the only one who can convince Mac to release Michael. Luckily, Robin succeeds. Mac warns Michael that he'd better not screw up. Jason hugs Robin and thanks her for helping get Michael out. He assures her that Michael could still be innocent. She remembers that, after his accident, Jason wouldn't let anybody help him. Michael needs him in the way that Jason needed someone back then. Jason takes Michael home. He tells Michael that he doesn't think he really did much damage on the road, but Michael says that Jason is only saying that because he loves him. He replays how he went nuts on the road. He doesn't understand why Jason isn't mad at him. Jason tells him to shut down his anger and guilt.

Later, Jason tries to visit Carly at GH, but Jax stops him. Jason says that he needs Carly to identify the car that ran her off the road, but Jax says that Carly can't have any emotional upset tonight. She could lose the baby or die of a stroke. Meanwhile, Carly is watching the news and her blood pressure goes through the roof. Jax and Jason rush into her room as she decides to get her breathing under control for her and her baby's benefit. Carly says that Michael is not responsible for the accident, but they tell her that he confessed. She confirms that she would have known if it were Michael's car that caused the accident. It wasn't.

Alexis reminds Sam that Kristina doesn't have a license, so she couldn't have been driving. So one would think, but Sam tells her that Kristina told her herself that she was driving. She says that Kristina's first instinct would be to cover up the fact that she caused Claudia's accident, but Alexis is in denial. She says that might be Sam's first instinct, but not Kristina's. Sam reminds Alexis that she erased surveillance at the mayor's house to cover up for Alexis, and she apologizes. She believes that Kristina would tell her if she caused the accident. Sam tells her that Kristina always has to be perfect and wouldn't feel free to talk to Alexis. Sam insists that she's trying to help Kristina, but Alexis won't hear it.

Sam is waiting outside of Jason's door when he gets home. She tells him that she doesn't think Michael is responsible for Claudia's accident. She says that the light-colored hybrid that Carly says she saw at the scene is similar to the car that Kristina drives. She thinks that Kristina is under too much pressure to confess, while Michael gets more support every time he screws up. Jason says that he can't let Michael pay for what Kristina did. Sam understands but says that she has to protect her sister.

Jason needs Spinelli's help in proving Michael's innocence, though Spinelli has a hard time focusing after a night with Maxie. Jason tells her that Sam thinks that Kristina might have been responsible and that Carly saw a car that resembled Alexis's. In the meantime, Sam confronts Alexis about the fact that Kristina may have caused the accident. Alexis accuses her of trying to score points with Jason. Sam says that she would never frame her sister. Alexis tells her to get out just as Molly comes downstairs and says that Kristina is not in her room. Sam tells Alexis that Michael ran away too. Alexis calls the police and Sam runs out to find Kristina herself. Later, Sam packs her things, which includes a knife strapped to her leg. Meanwhile, Jason is back home packing. Spinelli is on the computer looking at traffic cameras from the vicinity. He finds Michael's car, but it doesn't have Michael's license plate. Then Sam and Jason meet up and head south to find the kids.

While on the road, Jason's car breaks down. They look under the hood and find something odd -- Spinelli is responsible. Jason gets irate. It looks like something from one of Spinelli's stupid computer games. Sam remembers that Spinelli had been reading about green technology and most likely tried to make his SUV hybrid. Jason calls Spinelli (who is at the police station driving Mac crazy). Spinelli has difficulty telling them how to fix the SUV. Jason gets anxious because Kristina and Michael are potentially getting further away. Jason gets more and more irate as he can't figure out which wire to cut. Sam eventually gets under the hood of the SUV. She fiddles for a second and fixes it. They go the restaurant where Kristina and Michael were. Sam has some monkey grease on her face and Jason wipes it off, accompanied by sparks and guitar-tinged score.

Sam and Jason are interrupted from their tender moment by the police. They're under arrest for breaking and entering. Jason tells the cop that he's armed with a licensed gun and the cop tells them to put their hands on their heads. The cop finds out about their pasts and reckons he just caught Bonnie and Clyde. Jason laments that Kristina and Michael could be halfway to Mexico by now. Their records are clean, so they get to head on their way. They find Michael's abandoned car on the side of the road.

After finding Michael's ditched car, Jason and Sam know that the runaways are heading south. Sam puts her feet on the dashboard but quickly apologizes. She knows how Jason hates that, but Jason decides to let her sully his Armor-All. Sam tells Jason about the pressure that Alexis puts on Kristina, while Jason says that Michael is afraid of hurting his family. Jason thinks that Michael might be heading for Vera Cruz. Sam suggests that she should take a bus too, but Jason doesn't think she should travel alone. Later, Sam takes a nap and Jason covers her with his jacket. Sam tells her that road trips remind her of Danny. She says that she misses him every day. She thanks Jason for having been so nice to Danny. They arrive at the El Paso bus stop. Sam is going to take a bus to Vera Cruz, while Jason will drive on to Cancun. He gives her a gun for protection.

Sam calls Spinelli from Vera Cruz. She says that locals have seen Michael and Kristina, but they could be heading to Cancun, where Jason is driving. She asks for a list of hotels where high school students might be able to stay. She suggests that he find places that could be easily found in a search at an Internet cafe. Meanwhile, at an Internet cafe, Michael and Kristina are searching for a place to stay. Spinelli's leads are no good and Sam would like him to find where Michael and Kristina are logging in. Kristina gets paranoid about their safety and Michael again tells her that he will send her home if she's worried. Spinelli finds some Internet cafes in the area, but still no luck. He breaks for a minute and tells Sam that he's sure that Mac will accept his intentions towards Maxie when he knows he's sincere. Sam says sincerity might not be enough, but Spinelli thinks she's talking about her own life. She warns him that not everything lasts forever and he knows she's talking about Jason. He implies that she shouldn't give up hope. Sam goes to the Internet cafe from which Michael and Kristina have recently departed and finds the computer they were using with the Port Charles newspaper site still on it.

Sam goes back to the internet cafe where Michael and Kristina were before. Jerry spies her talking to the manager. She calls Spinelli and tells him that she knows where Kristina and Michael have been. He tells her that he's afraid his work ethic won't be up to snuff because he's worried about his situation with Maxie. Sam tells him that he'll figure it out, but he's still distraught that Maxie has not accepted his proposal. He gets it together, and Sam apologizes for snapping at him. As advice, she tells him that he needs to learn to listen. Maybe Maxie hasn't answered him because she doesn't want to get married. He tells her that Alexis confessed to causing Claudia's accident. Alexis refuses to turn Kristina in.

Jerry finds his way into Michael and Kristina's hotel room and sees the postcard that Kristina was writing to Molly. Sam finds the door ajar, pulls her gun, and enters the room. Jerry is gone and Sam calls Jason's cell phone. She leaves a message saying that she's going to wait there. In the meantime, Michael and Kristina are stopped by two thugs. They are going to steal their stuff and possibly more when Jerry steps out of the shadows and tells the thugs that they've made a serious mistake by messing with his nephew. Jerry trades tough talk with the thugs who have held up Michael and Kristina. Finally, one of the thugs pulls a knife and grabs Michael. Jerry knocks out the other guy and then frees Michael and knocks out the other guy. Jerry takes them some place "safe" to talk, then returns and shoots the two thugs. He rejoins the runaways and tells them that he is in Vera Cruz on business. Jerry asks if they have any "secrets" to tell. Michael tells about Claudia's accident. Kristina says that she couldn't let Michael go alone, plus she's tired of being perfect. Jerry tells them that he will get them jobs and a place to stay. Jerry leaves them and Michael is suspicious of his generosity. In the meantime, Sam finds the dead bodies of the thugs, as well as a map that Michael and Kristina were using. She talks to someone who saw the kids with Jerry. She arrives at Jerry's apartment and he promptly pulls a gun on her and tells her that it's been a long time.

Jerry, with a gun, prevents Sam from walking in on Kristina and Michael. He takes her to an abandoned church. He forces her to call Jason and lure him to Vera Cruz. She tries to break free but he stops her. He takes her to a fancy bedroom and tells her that he has something special planned for her. A big creepy guy arrives later saying that Sam had better be worth what he paid for her.

In the meantime, Kristina is thrilled that Jerry has come to hers and Michael's rescue. Michael is suspicious. He wonders why Jerry is helping them and that he showed up just when they needed him. He recalls Jerry saying, "You're turning out to be a real problem." He thinks that Jerry must have been there when he was in a coma. He remembers that Sonny always said Jerry was trouble. Michael decides that they should ditch Jerry and go to Cancun. Kristina resists, but he tells her that it's either him or Jerry. They pack and are about to leave when a man outside the door tells them that Jerry has forbade them to leave.

Jason walks into an abandoned church as a shot rings out. He ducks as Jerry, hidden in the roof rafters, taunts him. Jerry has rigged the room so that various things fall, tricking Jason into thinking Jerry is moving around. Jason gets a lucky break when the rafter Jerry is leaning on cracks, allowing Jason to sneak up behind Jerry. Jerry escapes and the two engaged in a game of cat and mouse, ducking behind pews, etc. Jerry runs out of ammo and decides to tackle Jason. They wrestle, crashing into a column, causing the choir balcony fall on them! Meanwhile, Michael gets tweaked when Jerry's men refused to let him and Kristina leave. He whispers to Kristina that they are being held hostage, but Kristina refuses to believe the worst in Jerry. After all he dated her mom, didn't he? And Jerry is Michael's step-uncle. Why would he hurt them? Michael insists this is all very weird, and gets Kristina to go along with his plan, meaning scream to attract/distract the guards, giving Michael the chance to hit the guy with what looks like a table leg. Michael ends up wrestling with the guy, yelling for Kristina to run, but of course she freezes like a deer caught in headlights.

Michael struggles with Jerry's bodyguard as Kristina stands there frozen. Michael screams for his sister to run, so finally Kristina obeys. As the bodyguard gets the upper hand on Michael, the fire alarm goes off! They bolt into the hallway where Michael escapes into the crowd. He meets up with Kristina and suggests she return to Port Charles, but she refuses to leave her brother. Amazingly enough, they have all their money on them and decide to head to Cancun, where they can probably blend in with all the other American college students there on spring break.

At the abandoned church, the church choir crashes on Jason and Jerry. Unfortunately, Jerry manages to escape while a beam pins Jason underneath. Jerry finds Jason's gun and takes aim, shooting Jason near his collarbone. Instead of finishing the job, Jerry performs the fatal mistake of villains everywhere and decides to leave Jason to bleed to death. But to make sure Jason doesn't escape, he shoots him in the leg too.

Jason -- bleeding profusely from multiple gunshot wounds -- struggles to free himself from a fallen beam. He ends up losing consciousness and dreams of Michael running away; Kristina berating him, saying he let her and Mike down; and finally of a very pregnant Carly begging him to find her children. When Jason finally wakes up, he manages to free himself, but the effort is too much and he passes out again. Later, Sam arrives to save the day. In the meantime, Michael and Kristina are in Cancun working at a boat rental place. They can't believe their good luck at landing such awesome jobs, but Michael's happiness quickly turns sour when he realizes that working in customer service stinks. Kristina notices that her brother hasn't quite learned the knack of controlling his temper, so she offers to take his next shift. Michael is about to agree when a super cute girl walks in. Of course, Michael hurries over to her and wants to help her out.

Sam tends to Jason's wounds. She carries him to a room where -- conveniently -- there is a bed. Jason keeps blathering about Michael and Kristina, but Sam assures him that they are fine. She even takes the time to explain that Jerry rapped her, but seems very evasive about how she escaped or what happened to her. As Sam tries to dig the bullet out of Jason's leg, she talks to keep Jason awake. She hesitantly tells him how Jerry sold her to this drug dealer and how she talked her way out of getting hurt. Jason passes out and breaks into a shiver, so Sam has no choice but to crawl into bed with Jason to warm him with her body.

Jerry enters the abandoned church in Mexico, hoping to find Sam and Jason, but luckily, Sam is part spider-woman and has managed to drag a bleeding Jason up to the attic to hide. Luckily Jerry does not notice Jason's blood dripping from a crack in the ceiling and leaves. Sam gets Jason back into bed and wants to fetch a doctor, but Jason doesn't want her to leave.

Sam wakes up to find Jason's fever is gone. Jason wants to go look for Michael and Kristina, but Sam thinks it's too soon for him. They get into a big fight about it and Sam storms out. Jason stands up, but gets dizzy and falls over. Sam returns and Jason admits she was right. He was in pretty bad shape, huh? Sam admits that Jason had hallucinated, thinking they were in Hawaii. Jason blushes a bit. Sam was the only person who ever gave Jason what he needed, which is why he likes having her around.

Jason and Sam continue to talk about their time in Hawaii: all the times they would sit and talk or how Sam would aim for Jason's hair with a super soaker water gun. Sam says their time together is as real as life gets as both of them get hit with intense waves of nostalgia. Sam mentions how Jerry wanted Jason to rescue her and to know Jerry was responsible, but Sam stops herself from saying more. She abruptly leaves and heads outside to fix their car. Later, she returns to find Jason creeping around the room. Instead of lecturing him and insisting he rest, she tells him that she almost has the car ready. It's a good thing she's a whiz mechanic. She also has a smudge of oil on her hands and arms, which Jason tenderly wipes off before leaning in to kiss her. Before they know it, their clothes are off and they are making love. Afterwards, things are totally awkward as Sam grabs her clothes and mumbles something about getting back to work on the car. When she returns, Jason is ready to look for Michael. Sam wonders if they should talk about the sex, but then both agree they should table that discussion until they find the kids.

Jason and Sam drive to Cancun, hoping to catch up with Michael and Kristina. Sam notices Jason is hurting from his gunshot wound and resumes driving responsibilities. As they drive, they listen to a radio station where a female caller says she recently rekindled things with her ex. Sam and Jason glance uncomfortably at each other. Guess this hits too close to home. Jason tries to turn off the radio. He even rips the knob off, but thanks to some wacky hijinks, the radio continues to play. Finally Sam grabs a gun and fires at the radio. Finally, silence! Later, Sam pulls over to the side of the road to nap when she sees that Jason has fallen asleep. When they wake up, however, they end up kissing.

Meanwhile in Cancun, Michael tells Kristina that he sold most of Jerry's stuff but needs a little bit more to pay for her airfare back home. He assures her that he can swipe some from the cash register and get another job. Kristina thinks that is unnecessary as a totally rude couple enters, demanding wave runners for the day. The guy hits on Kristina when his girlfriend's back is turned, causing Michael to get in the guy's face. After the couple leave, as luck would have it, Michael was able to steal the guy's wallet and watch from his locker. Now Kristina has enough money to fly back home! Unfortunately, the guy returns, demanding a full refund for his wave runner -- he crashed it -- and for Michael to give his stuff back. When Michael feigns ignorance, the guy socks him!

Michael and Kristina find themselves in a tricky situation when an angry customer and his girlfriend threaten to beat them up. Luckily Jason and Sam swoop in to save the day. The guy isn't impressed until Jason pulls a gun on him. Jason throws some money at the guy to compensate for Michael stealing his watch to buy a plane ticket back to Port Charles for Kristina. After the guy and his girlfriend leave, Michael turns to see Jason's stone cold look. How much trouble is he in? Jason and Sam explain it's not so much that Michael is in trouble; it's that Michael and Kristina didn't talk to them before hitting the road. Kristina gets it, but admits she wants to return home. While Sam gently breaks the news to her that Alexis pleaded guilty to running Claudia off of the road to save Kristina's butt, Jason finds Michael out at the boat shack. Michael says he wants to start his life over -- right here. So that means he is not returning to Port Charles.

Michael tells Jason he won't return to Port Charles. Jason says he's not there to force him back, but is Michael sure? Jason says the cops aren't looking for him anymore; Alexis confessed and there is evidence to confirm it. Michael gasps. What? He thought his baby brother died because he lost control. Well, this is great. Now this means he can stay in Mexico and live his way any way he likes. If anyone should understand, it should be Jason. Jason reminds Michael that people would be hurt if he didn't return, namely Morgan, which causes Michael to think twice

While Jason and Michael have their talk, Sam tells Kristina that their mom admitted to driving Claudia off of the road. Kris says Alexis is lying. She did it! Why did Sam let Mom take the blame? Sam says she was out of town when it happened and that the police found paint chips on Claudia's car that matched one of Alexis's cars -- not the one Alexis was driving, but the one Kristina was driving! Sam can't believe Kristina would let her brother shoulder all the guilt, but Kristina admits that she did tell Michael the truth -- finally. Sam tries to get through to her little sister that she can't let others take responsibility for her actions. Kristina argues that she feels bad, but she can't afford to make admit that she makes mistakes. Doesn't Sam get it? Alexis covered for her because she wants to make sure Kristina maintains the "perfect" life. Jason returns and Kristina tells him the whole story. She's surprised when Jason doesn't lecture her, but says that everyone makes mistakes. It's how you make up for them that counts. Exasperated, Kristina goes to find Michael and begs him to return to Port Charles with her so that she doesn't have to face their dad and her mom alone.

Back at the hotel, Sam and Jason give into their sexual tension after talking about Michael and Kristina. As they lean in to kiss, Michael and Kristina return. Busted! Kristina smirks. Should they go back out and return later? On the plane later, Jason tells the kids to keep quiet about seeing Jerry. They agree.

Sam brings Kristina home, and she's greeted with a huge hug from Molly and a tearful yet reproachful look from Alexis. Molly pipes up that everything is okay; even though Kristina caused Claudia's accident, Alexis took the fall. Alexis admits that she did resign from office and tells Kristina that everything will be okay, which angers Sam. Sam reminds them that a baby died -- Claudia and Sonny deserve some kind of apology from Kristina! Alexis gets the younger girls out of the room and tells Sam that she is right, but telling Kristina that could've waited. Sam disagrees with Alexis's mommy-coddling and storms out.

Meanwhile, Jason brings Michael to Carly's, where both Morgan and Jax give him a big hug. Carly has tears in her eyes as she embraces her firstborn. Michael tells everyone how sorry he is: the lies, his lousy attitude, etc. Carly smiles, happy to hear that. She looks over at Jason. He okay? Jason covers, says he's tired and splits. Later, Jason arrives at Sonny's to tell Sonny that he and Sam tangled with Jerry while looking for Michael, which prompts Claudia to rush out of the room. Alone, Jason tells Sonny what happened: Sam taken hostage, getting shot in the abandoned church, and how Jerry laughed in his face when he asked him if Claudia was involved in Michael's accident. When Sonny refuses to entertain the thought of Claudia causing Michael's coma, Jason then plays a recording of Claudia's voice, asking Fredo to kill Jerry. Sonny jumps up, claiming his head is spinning. He can't deal with this right now.

Spinelli is gleeful to catch Sam and Jason kissing. Oh happy day -- it's only his second dream come true! As Maxie tries to drag Spinelli out of there, Spinelli bursts into a happy aria. Mortified, Sam bolts and Maxie follows, leaving Spinelli to ask Jason to be his best man. Unfortunately, Maxie mentions pink ties. Jason does agree to be best man, but no pink ties! Spinelli cringes. Sorry, it's already been picked out. Meanwhile, Maxie checks in with Sam, asking what happened with her and Jason. Sam says it's long and complicated, which Maxie takes to mean they had mind-blowing sex. When Sam doesn't answer, Maxie starts squealing. Before she can break a few eardrums, Sam stops Maxie, saying she and Jason are just friends right now. Still, she looks mighty happy when he asks her to be his date for the carnival tomorrow.

Sam stops by Jason's to talk. So when he asked her to go to the carnival, she knows Spinelli and Maxie forced him to. He doesn't have to take her if he doesn't want to. Jason counters; does Sam not want to go? Thankfully Carly arrives to interrupt this painful conversation and thanks Sam for bringing Kristina and Michael home. Sam makes an awkward excuse to leave, which immediately raises Carly's suspicions. Carly starts gasping and sits down. Jason's eyes widen. Is Carly okay? Carly glares at him. Jason and Sam are back together, aren't they?! Later, Sam returns saying she has to work and gives Jason an out. He doesn't have to take her to the carnival after all. Jason -- taking Carly's advice -- sees right through Sam and says they should go together anyway -- much to Sam's secret delight. While they are contemplating that, they are both awestruck by the sight of Spinelli decked out like a clown, complete with colored hair and makeup. He has become his greatest fear, literally. Spinelli is determined to conquer his fear of clowns as Sam and Jason watch skeptically. Spinelli repeats to himself that clowns can bring joy and laughter, but when he sees himself in the mirror, he screams and hides in the corner.

Sam and Jason avoid the carnival -- and talking about their feelings -- by doing some P.I. work. It looks like Jason is about to kiss her when Sam gets a text message saying the person she is tailing will be at the Metro Court. So they head to the hotel to do some surveillance and are shocked to discover that it's Edward's new lady love. They are about to get the money shot -- the one of her going into the hotel room -- when another hotel guest busts them, thinking they are trying to scam rooms. Sam and Jason smoothly cover, saying they are about to get married and wanted to check out the rooms, so they end up getting a lecture about how you only get married once and do it right. They continue to spy on Blondie who gets room service: champagne and two glasses.

Sam is shocked to discover that Blondie is meeting with Edward Quartermaine via her nifty smart phone that is somehow rigged to track Blondie's call. She wants to close the case, saying that if Edward wants to have a romantic rendezvous at his age, more power to him! As Sam attempts to return to the office, Jason stops her. Would she still like to attend the carnival with him? They finally get there, much to the delight of Spinelli and Maxie. Spinelli is actually upbeat, despite his scary clown get-up. After that, Jason and Sam flirt and have fun at the carnival. Their fun comes to stop when Jason sees Elizabeth and Lucky with Jake on the carousal.

The fortune teller tells Lulu that something wicked this way comes. Moments later, chaos erupts as Edward's car plows through the carnival gates and into the Ferris wheel where Alexis and Andrea argue and Kristina, Molly and Claudia get on the ride. Morgan is in the direct path of the car but luckily Dominic pushes him out of the way, only to get hit himself! Andrea gets pinned by Edward's car as the ride collapses -- with Claudia, Molly and Kristina on board!

Elseware, Elizabeth screams for Jake as a booth collapses onto of him, showering wood and stuffed animals on him. She screams that Mommy and Daddy are here as she, Lucky and Jason quickly dive into the debris to look for him. Luckily, Jake is okay, or at least looks okay as Elizabeth pulls him out. He's upset and crying as EMTs take him and Elizabeth to General Hospital a4s Jason watches wordlessly with tears in his eyes. At the hospital, the doctor tells Lucky and Elizabeth that Jake might have a skull fracture. Lucky goes to be with Jake as Elizabeth sits down to cry. Jason joins her and puts his arms around her. Later, Sam finds him and stays with him as he watches Elizabeth and Lucky comfort Jake as Jake gets some tests done.

Jason and Sam watch as Elizabeth and Lucky comfort Jake. It looks like he has a minor skull fracture, so he'll be okay. Jason moves off with Sam and vents when he learns that Edward was driving the car that hit Jake. He notes the irony that Edward just hit his great-grandson. Sam tries to be there for Jason, saying yes, Edward was drinking, but he had a clean bill of health, so who knows what really happened to him? Alone, Elizabeth breaks down in part relief and residual worry alone. Nikolas finds her and before you know it, they are locked into a smooch -- which Jason unfortunately sees.

Jason is startled to find Elizabeth and Nikolas kissing in the hallway outside of Jake's room. He doesn't say a word, just leaves as Elizabeth pulls away and tells Nik they can't do this, let alone in a public place…anyone could see them! Next, Jason heads over to Sam's and tells her what he saw. Jason is worried for his son's future. If Elizabeth leaves Lucky, what does this mean for Jake? The only way Jason can bear to be separated from Jake is knowing he has a stable family life with both Elizabeth and Lucky. Sam can't believe this. Liz with Nikolas -- this is going to kill Lucky! Sam advises Jason to stay away from Elizabeth for now when Michael calls her. He needs Sam's help -- and asks her not to tell Jason.

Michael asks Sam for help and to come by, but don't tell Jason. So Sam ditches Jason, despite Jason's best efforts to hang out. Sam covers, saying her "client" specified confidentiality. When Sam arrives at Carly's, Michael reveals he has been having memory flashes from the time he was in the coma, mostly people talking to him. Actually specifically, Claudia apologizing and Jax saying how he was involved in Michael's accident.

As soon as Jason hears news of Johnny's shooting, he arrives at Mercy, much to Spinelli's relief. He first commends Spinelli on a job well done, and then asks for details as to what happened. Spinelli tells him of delivering the documents to the pier, where he was ambushed and luckily saved by Johnny. Jason tells Spinelli he can't do this anymore; Spinelli is like a brother to him, and he has to protect him! Spinelli passes along a message from Johnny: to protect Claudia and by the way, don't trust her. But Spinelli didn't catch the whole message as Johnny lost his strength. Jason can't believe this. Claudia's own brother thinks she's a threat.

At Mercy Hospital, Jason begs Johnny to tell him what he knows about Claudia. Johnny claims there is nothing, just some mumble talk because he thought he was dying. Claudia may not be a nice person, but at the end of the day, she is his sister. Spinelli timidly suggests that Jason let Johnny rest, and Jason agrees, but he insists on knowing in Johnny's words, what happened at the warehouse that led to his injury. Johnny explains he took the job at the last minute that Dominic was supposed to be there instead. Johnny says Dominic had a date with Lulu and wanted to do something nice for the guy. Before Jason can question if this was a set-up or what, Olivia rushes in, crying, followed by Sonny. She tells Johnny that her heart practically stopped when she heard he had been shot. Meanwhile, Jason and Sonny have a heated whispered exchange in the lobby over whether Johnny was involved in the Zacharra ambush or was a casualty. Or was Dominic part of the plan? Or is someone targeting Dominic, which would make Dominic loyal to them. Sonny thinks they should use Dominic to neutralize Anthony.

Sam arrives at Jason's penthouse looking for him and stays to wait for him with Maxie. Maxie frets. Spinelli isn't here either and she is planning a romantic evening for him at her place. Spinelli finally comes home (covered in Johnny's blood) and tells his beloved that she almost become a widow before she became a bride.

Sam and Jason wake up happy in Jason's bed, but they get a rude awakening when they come downstairs to find Maxie and Spinelli going over wedding planning stuff with Robin, Patrick, Kristina and Molly. Gulp! Robin and Maxie try to ease the awkwardness, but Molly pipes up, stating that it's clear that Jason and Sam had sex and Sam is doing the walk of shame. That is -- she's wearing the same clothes from yesterday! Patrick smirks, clearly enjoying Jason's embarrassment as Robin ushers everyone out, mouthing an apology to both Sam and Jason as they go. Molly stays behind to issue a warning to Jason, much to Sam's (who is listening from the hallway) utter humiliation: be kind to her sister! Sam finally pulls Molly out of there and takes her to the docks, where she tells her thanks for caring, but it's really none of her cute little business.

Jason visits Johnny at Mercy again, and Johnny reits that he had nothing to do with the attack on the warehouse, but Jason urges him to use his insight to Anthony to help Sonny. Johnny doesn't think his dad will strike again so soon, but warns Jason that anything Claudia will do may be on Jason.

At Carly's house, Michael tells Sam he remembers Jax saying he was sorry and that Carly would never forgive him. This must mean that means that Jax had tried to kill Sonny, but ended up putting Michael in a coma; what if Jax tries it again? Jax and Carly interrupt and get upset when Sam lies, saying she is there to make sure everyone is okay after the shooting at the warehouse. Jax immediately complains about Sonny, validating Michael's suspicions that is responsible for his coma, but Carly calms Jax down, saying she is sure Jason or Sonny would've come to them if they thought they or the kids were in danger. Sam gets uncomfortable and leaves, later meeting Michael on the docks, insistent that Jax is out to get Sonny. Sam says Jax's turf is corporate stuff, not mob stuff. Still, she promises to do what she can, which placates Michael.

Next, Sam finds Jason at Mercy and fesses to him everything that Michael has been telling her. Concerned, Jason and Sam to see Jax at his office, where Carly's suspicions rise. Something is definitely going on. Now what is it? Jax covers, saying they're having a meeting about the Zacharra attack. Carly doesn't buy it, but ends up leaving to rest. After Carly stomps out, Jason and Sam reveal that they ran into Jerry in Mexico. Jason stresses that the more Michael remembers, the more danger he is in!

Jason finds Robin at the hospital and asks to talk: Is there any way the memories Michael has from his coma are real? Jason explains what Michael is remembering and how they're all hazy, confusing and mostly consist of Jax and Claudia telling him how sorry they are. Robin surmises they could be real but nothing is certain. However, the bigger question is: Jason plans to kill the person who shot Michael, right? Is that fair to Michael to have to carry the burden of Jason taking a person's life in his name?

Later, Sonny returns home to find Jason strongly disagreeing with him about offing Johnny. Jason correctly guesses that Sonny really wants to kill Johnny because Johnny is with Olivia. Sonny strongly denies it, but we all know it's true. Just then, Claudia returns home just in time to hear her "beloved" husband intends to kill her beloved brother.

Michael arrives to Sam at Jason's penthouse upset. He knows Sam told Jason about his coma memories -- after he asked her not to. Sam defends herself, saying that Michael had asked her to help him and Jason can totally help Michael, so give him a chance, okay? Michael admits in addition to remembering Jax apologizing, he also remembers Claudia saying she is sorry over and over. When Michael sees the look on Sam's face, he realizes that Sam thinks Claudia -- his super cool step-mom -- is responsible for his shooting. Michael gets worked up, but Sam interrupts him. It's just a hunch right now; she wants to get concrete proof first, okay? Jason returns home and promises to help Michael any way he can and not to take action no matter what Michael remembers. Michael is further relieved when Jason encourages him to talk to him. No one can relate better to Michael than Jason right now. Michael is appeased for the moment and leaves. Alone, Jason frets about Michael, saying he used to feel the same way: not knowing what to do with all the jumbled thoughts in his head, so he became an "adrenaline junkie." Jason looks at Sam. In fact, she is the same way. Sam doesn't disagree, so the day ends with them hopping on Jason's motorcycle and roaring into the night.

Spinelli interrupts Jason and Sam reminiscing about their late night bike ride to tell Jason that he needs him! He's getting married! As if on cue, the tailor arrives to fit the men for their tuxes. Jason frowns when he sees the pink tie. He is so not wearing that! Spinelli begs him and finally Jason gives in, allowing Sam to tie the tie. Sam whispers that Jason is such a good friend to Spinelli as Jason grimaces. Later, Michael goes to see Sam and Jason to tell them that he remembers Sam coming to see him while he was in a coma. Sam bites her lip. Uh, she never went to see Michael when he was in his coma. Shaken, Michael can't believe it. So this means that he can't be sure on which of his memories are real or not! Jason tries to calm Michael down as he catches a glimpse of his crazy self in the mirror. Michael remembers what the carnival fortune teller had said about an enemy in the mirror and runs out. Jason wants to follow him, but doesn't want to add to Michael's stress.

At Maxie and Spinelli's wedding rehearsal, Robin and Patrick are dismayed to find Mac muttering about his daughter marrying a criminal and an idiot. He should've arrested Spinelli when he had the chance! Patrick and Robin look at each other. They sure have their work cut out for them! Maxie, Spinelli, Lulu, Kristina, Molly, Sam and Jason arrive. Mac tells Spinelli to shut up and pulls Maxie into a smothering hug. Mac finally has the last straw when a Buddhist monk wanders in. Is he going to perform the ceremony? Mac whips out some cuffs. That's it! He's arresting Spinelli! Molly calms Mac down by explaining Buddhism as the poor monk explains he's lost.
